Silk apron with gold fabric trim, painted on the flap is a radiant eye, and the apron has a triangle with skull and crossbones inside surrounded by a circle and text reading Grand Lodge of New York, below are two quills crossed and tied with a ribbon, and above is a tied gold ribbon. A silk apron worn by Grand Secretary Reinier Jan van den Broek (van den Broeck). Presented in 1802 to his successor, Daniel D. Tompkins. Daniel D. Tompkins served as Grand Secretary and Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of New York as well as Vice President of the United States of America. |
