Photograph of a crowd on a large stagecoach. It is believed to be taken during Mecca Temple's Pilgrimage to Salt Lake City in 1890, as described in the book 'Mecca Temple, Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, its history and pleasures, together with the origin and history of the order.': "A half-past seven a. m. we arrived in Salt Lake City. There we found our Noble hosts had anticipated our arrival by having in readiness the Liberal Military Band and a large number of carriages and the largest and handsomest tally-ho—we believe in the world—for its many cross seats within and on top have a capacity for comfortably seating fifty people." |
